Compensation:

[Starting / Initial] Base Salary Pay Range: [$19.23- $43.26 per hour or $40,000 – $90,000 per year].

Commission: Commissions are earned on each sale based on product type:

  • 50% -150% of one month’s MRCs (monthly recurring charges)
  • 1/12 of one-time NRCs (non-recurring charges) &
  • 1/24 of Burst

[Tenured] Base Salary Pay Range: [$19.23 - $52.88 per hour or $40,000 - $110,000 per year] based on achievement of structured tenure based and performance based pay increases.

Specific offers within the listed pay ranges are determined by a variety of factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify new business opportunities within a prescribed Regional Sales Territory via sourcing and Hunting to identify new business opportunities within a global sales territory and target market segments of IP Transit, Content creators/hosters, Carriers/wholesalers and Netcentric companies.
  • Through direct calling, email and contact efforts you will identify, qualify, and generate these new business opportunities by working directly with Key Decision Makers.
  • Compliment prospecting and selling efforts through onsite customer meetings as needed.
  • Use consultative and relationship building selling techniques to identify current and future connectivity solutions.
  • Help Cogent customers and prospects by positioning our services for new business by leveraging the global network footprint that includes commercial and retail buildings, carrier neutral hotels, data centers and colocation facilities.

Qualifications:

  • 3-8+ years of solid, B2B sales experience in a telecom arena with collocation, wholesale experience and data transit and transport.
  • Proven experience with a track record of success in a direct hunting, B2B sales role and quota achievement.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, qualify and generate new business through extensive prospecting and research.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are a must.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment with revenue deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office and a CRM are a plus.
  • A college degree is preferred but not required.

Role Overview:

The Billing & Collection Specialist is responsible for supporting the end-to-end administrative processing of customer orders, billing activation, collections follow-up, and service terminations. The role serves as a key point of coordination between Sales, customers, Accounting, and other internal support teams to help ensure accurate billing, timely collections, and effective handling of customer requests.

The position requires strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to manage several tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Reports to: Sales Admin Manager @ La Garenne Colombes office
Work Schedule: Monday thru Thursday 9am to 6pm, Friday: 9am to 5pm

Essential Job Functions:

  • Review and validate customer orders upon receipt to ensure they can be processed correctly
  • Activate orders in the billing system once service delivery is completed
  • Manage collection activities and follow up on outstanding customer balances
  • Process service terminations, including stopping billing and communicating required information to relevant internal teams
  • Handle customer requests related to billing and administrative matters
  • Liaise with the Sales team, customers, Accounting, and other back-office teams as needed
  • Help maintain accurate records and ensure administrative follow-up is completed in a timely manner

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Education level: Bac to Bac+2, preferably in administration, accounting, business support, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in an administrative, billing, collections, or customer support role
  • Fluent in French and professional English, both written and spoken
  • Spanish would be a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organizational and follow-up skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive, reliable, and resourceful approach to work
  • Must have the legal right to work in France

Cogent Communications recherche un Billing & Collection Specialist basé à La Garenne-Colombes.

Au sein de l’équipe Sales Administration, vous intervenez sur l’ensemble du processus administratif lié aux commandes clients, à l’activation de la facturation, au suivi des encaissements et à la gestion des résiliations de services. Vous jouez un rôle central de coordination entre les équipes commerciales, les clients, la comptabilité et les autres équipes support internes, afin de garantir la fiabilité de la facturation, le suivi des paiements et le traitement efficace des demandes administratives. Ce poste requiert de la rigueur, un bon sens de l’organisation, ainsi que la capacité à gérer plusieurs sujets en parallèle dans un environnement dynamique.

Vos missions:

  • Vérifier et valider les commandes clients dès leur réception afin de garantir leur bon traitement
  • Activer les commandes dans le système de facturation une fois la prestation livrée
  • Assurer le suivi des encaissements et relancer les clients en cas d’impayés
  • Gérer les résiliations de services, y compris l’arrêt de la facturation et la transmission des informations aux équipes internes concernées
  • Répondre aux demandes des clients liées à la facturation et aux sujets administratifs
  • Travailler en lien avec les équipes commerciales, les clients, la comptabilité et les autres équipes back-office
  • Veiller à la qualité du suivi administratif et à la bonne tenue des dossiers

Profil recherché:

  • Formation de niveau Bac à Bac+2, idéalement en administration, comptabilité, gestion ou support commercial
  • Au moins 2 ans d’expérience dans une fonction administrative, de facturation, de recouvrement ou de support client
  • Français courant et anglais professionnel, à l’écrit comme à l’oral
  • La maîtrise de l’espagnol serait un plus
  • Très bon sens du détail et de la précision
  • Bonnes capacités d’organisation et de suivi
  • Capacité à travailler de manière autonome tout en appréciant le travail en équipe
  • Autonomie, fiabilité et sens de l’initiative
  • Autorisation de travail en France requise

You must also be able to work in a fast paced, team environment with revenue deadlines. A track record of success and recent experience is required. A college degree is preferred but not required. Professional knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office and a CRM are a plus. Previous experience with telecommunications, specifically data transport is also a plus.
