HR Generalist - Washington, DC

Compensation: [Starting / Initial] Base Salary Pay Range: $70,000-$75,000/yr.

Specific offers within the listed pay ranges are determined by a variety of factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage new hire onboarding into internal HRIS and ADP (including time and attendance enrollments)
  • Communicate onboarding status and requirements with candidates and new hires
  • Maintain accurate electronic personnel files and HRIS profiles
  • Track and document required trainings, continuing education, and work assessments
  • Process voluntary employee separations and severance notices in a timely and accurate manner
  • Administer position changes, promotions, and salary changes in internal HRIS and ADP, and notify relevant departments as needed
  • Support administration of HR programs including compensation, benefits, leave management, employee relations, and training
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices
  • Assist with HR led wellness and benefit programs
  • Perform additional HR and Office duties as assigned
  • Serve as back up to office services

Qualifications:

  • High level of organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
  • Strong confidentiality and ethical judgement
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field strongly preferred
  • At least three years of progressive experience in a generalist or similar role strongly preferred
