Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility is to receive and audit invoices from telecommunications providers of leased-line T1, T3, Optical and Ethernet services used for the provision of Internet access to customers. Compare invoices against company records to approve for payment or file dispute with the provider if necessary. Research and provide documentation to substantiate dispute/claim, such as notice of disconnect or proof of rate, and manage dispute to resolution.
- Scanning hardcopy invoices using kwiktag
- Logging invoice in the payment system (TIM)
- Attaching soft and hard copies of invoices into the payment system
- Pulling invoices from generic mailbox
- Assigning invoices to Billing Analysts
- Opening mail and distributing invoices through payment system accordingly
Qualifications:
- Must have an understanding of telco invoices for access and data products from providers such as AT&T, Verizon, XO, Level(3), etc. Must have an understanding of FCC and PUC tariffs (CABS and CRIS), MSAs (Master Service Agreements), USOCs, and billing components (Channel Terminations, Mileage and Multiplexing) for access services.
- Must have familiarity with Accounts Payable systems (such as Great Plains) and associated AP terminology. Have the ability to produce reconciliation of invoiced amounts and payments applied on accounts. Assist in preparation of monthly accrual and cost analysis, as well as Sarbanes-Oxley monthly closing and audit tasks.
- Strong Excel skills and at least 3-5 years experience in a similar position required.
