Sales Account Manager

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business and managing the subsequent relationship with customers and prospects
Carry a personal sales target/quota, Proactively and creatively identify and solve client problems and provide solutions.
Work with a pan European sales support team including including Sales Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, and Technical Support.

Person Specification:
The passion to sell
A minimum of 3 yrs recent telecommunications sales experience preferable
Ability to work independently is essential. Candidates will be expected to be able to pro-actively prospect new leads in new markets and vertical sectors.
Energetic and self motivated individual, who is a self-starter with experience and desire to acquire new business
Wholesale relationships within the relevant markets
A-Levels/Baccalaureate or above preferred
Candidates must be able to demonstrate success in similar role within a wholesale service provider/telecom environment. Proven ability to close sales to ISP and telecom customers is highly advantageous.

Customer Support Engineer
MISSION
The Customer Support Engineer will be working at Cogent’s front desk (1st line support) and his/her main tasks would be:
Interact with Cogent customers via phone and e-mail in order to resolve their service issues, respond to their technical questions and achieve customer satisfaction.
Monitor all services delivered through the Pan-European Cogent IP network in order to provide high service availability and ensuring that Cogent SLAs are met.
He will join the Customer Support team of Cogent Communications in Frankfurt.
JOB DUTIES
Provide 1st line customer and technical support for all layer 1, 2 and 3 services provided by Cogent.
Keep customers informed regarding issues that Monitor all customer services and Cogent European Network using management tools and systems provided for this purpose and following standard Operational procedures.
Ensure that network and customers issues are accurately documented in the trouble ticketing system.
Coordinate effectively with all members of the CST team, other Cogent teams as well as Providers in order to ensure swift resolution of network and customer issues.
Management of internal and vendor planned maintenances impacting Cogent European Network.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Good verbal and written communications skills.
The ideal candidate must possess a B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science At least 2 years of working experience in a similar position at a network operator.
Cisco equipment experience and certifications (CCNA/CCNP) will be highly valued.
Good technical knowledge in the area of networking (TCP/IP), IP protocols (BGP, IGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS…), IP addressing, DNS’s and IP-VPN’s
Excellent problem solving skills.
Customer focused and eager to learn.
Team player worker and capable to work under pressure and within tight deadlines.
Availability to work on morning or evening shifts, Monday to Friday basis.
Fluent in German and English, knowledge of other languages would be an asset.
Field Engineer
Responsibilities:
Provide hands-on technical expertise for maintaining, troubleshooting and turning-up fiber optic networks.
Turn-up and test new customer circuits.
Drive the implementation of metro network Work with vendors to build out collocation facilities.
Provide coordination between field managers and HQ on construction projects.
Work with Engineering to provide field perspective to network deployment as well as to provide expertise in deployments.
Select, manage and train vendors on network support and construction.
Maintain proficiency in up-to-date technological developments in power systems, telecommunications infrastructure, fiber, CWDM and DWDM technologies.
Qualifications: budget, project manage, travel 50%-75%, engineering degree

Sales Engineer
Cogent Communications is one of the world’s largest business-to-business Internet Service Providers, carrying approximately 17% of the world’s Internet traffic. We are looking for a motivated self-starter to join our Sales Engineering team in Frankfurt, Germany.
The purpose of this role is to provide quality pre-sales technical support to the sales organization. The Sales Engineer (SE) interacts with clients and supports sales reps and sales management. The SE qualifies sales opportunities, resolves all technical issues arising from the sales engagement, helps clients define specifications and requirements, and presents technical information to small and large audiences. The SE is also responsible for training sales reps on network technology and products.
The ideal candidate works efficiently and independently. This position will support a minimum of 15 sales reps in multiple European countries. The majority of support will be conducted over the telephone, however, the position may require up to 25% travel, predominantly within Europe.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Develop technical responses and strategy for RFIs and RFPs
Attend sales and vendor calls, telephonically and in-person
Provide technical support to both internal sales reps and external customers
Administer technical training and guidance to sales reps and management
Provide customer advocacy for all post-sale implementation issues until resolved
Ensure correct technical content of all customer orders
Design customer technical solutions with engineering diagrams
Understand technical limitations and advantages of Cogent services

Requirements include:
